Elevo enters the Zambian market with a water supply, sanitation and drainage project
The project is part of an ambitious investment plan for water supply, sanitation and drainage in the Lusaka province funded by the Millennium Challenge Account. It is due to be completed within two years. When finished, it will provide residents with proper sanitation, drainage and a safe water supply.
The project is scheduled to
begin in January 2016 and will include: building the 67 km water supply network
in Mtendere and Kamanga; building the sanitation network in Mtendere, Kuanda
Square and Chelston, up to a total length of 89 km; and establishing domestic connections
in Kamanga and Mtendere, including the installation of normal and prepaid water
meters, with a total length of 349 km. The Chelston and Salama pumping stations
will also be renovated and extended.
