TAHAL has awarded Elevo Angola a new contract for the Quiminha project, in the water and sewerage infrastructure sector.

The principal work includes the installation of an overhead GRP pipeline with diameters of 1000 and 1100 mm, connecting pumping station PS1 at Lamama Lake to reservoir R1. The pipeline has a length of 6849 m, including the construction of 12 access chambers.

The Quiminha venture is considered as one of the largest agricultural projects currently in progress in Angola, expected to have a major impact on food production in the country.
