Abrilongo Dam

The Dam is circa 30 metres high with a dam top length (span) of 1,063 metres by 8 metres in width. This is a zoned profile Dam with a dense central nucleus constituted by solid residual shale soil and an upstream stabilising bank constituted by rippable shale. The solid foundation of the dam was consolidated using concrete injection curtains.
