Portugal and Venezuela have, since 1956, already signed various cooperation agreements covering various areas, amongst which civil construction and public works.
The Venezuelan market is revealing itself to be increasingly important for the Elevo Group. We are in the process of establishing ourselves in Venezuela, where our technical expertise has been recognised. The Elevo Group is currently building the new Paper and Pulp Factory in the village of Palital. Once operational, this factory will satisfy the needs of the Venezuelan market, estimated at 100,000 tonnes/year of printing paper. All the excess production will allow it to meet the needs of the Caribbean and South American market.
